Those of you who are interested in Traditional Chinese Medicine and cannot be examined in person in the consulting room (personal contact in the consulting room is, of course, always the best) can take
a photo of your tongue with
a digital camera or
a high-quality mobile and submit it with the questionnaire. The questionnaire cannot be submitted without the photo of the tongue and the completed questionnaire attached! It is best to take the photo in the morning or having fasted, without flash and in natural light if possible.
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the same disease or the same symptoms may manifest differently on the tongue and vice versa - the same appearance of the tongue may correspond with different diseases.
You also need to complete a simple questionnaire. In the Main Problems section, specify your most serious subjective problems and symptoms rather than Western medicine diagnoses as those are not that significant for Chinese medicine (e.g. heartburn, the feeling of heaviness after meals or pain under ribs are more valuable symptoms in terms of TCM than statements such as: chronic gastritis or high cholesterol...). Do not mix acute and chronic problems in one test either - the result would be misleading, e.g. acute cough with a runny nose and a fever caused by a virus infection and chronic back pain with chronic ringing in the ears... You will find an example of the test completed in such a way.HERE.

You can easily find out who your constitutional type is, YIN or YANG, by completing the YIN YANG Test below (free and anonymously).
The word constitution expresses either the constitution or the physical and psychological setting of the organism. Just as rules are set for the state to function, each individual should adapt to their unique constitution. Indeed, the constitution (constitution) of, for example, the United States, North Korea, Switzerland or the Czech Republic has a very different one... and the functioning of the state also develops according to this basic setting, at all levels of life. Similarly, physical and psychological predisposition is the most important building block of our organism. In short, without knowing the constitution - not a single blow!
Nature is (in)nate by nature. As the name suggests, we each have our own (in)nate constitution, which we should adhere to. It is similar to when a car with a 16-cylinder engine comes off the production line, which needs a certain type of gasoline and oil, specific maintenance and an appropriate driving style. If we do not provide this means of transport with all this, then the car will not have good performance, we will not enjoy driving and it may happen that we will not even drive at all (if we fill up with diesel instead of gasoline...).
Every person is always different, original (just like we all have our fingerprints, DNA, etc.), but we can still find some common constitutional features. We can see and hear this, for example, during dubbing, when an actor woos an actor who looks and behaves similarly. For example. The famous comedian and actor of the film series The Gendarmerie, the fast-paced Louis de Funès, was dubbed aptly by František Filipovský, the radiant rascal Jean Paul Belmondo was wooed by the shrewd Jiří Krampol, the actor of calm and positive Western heroes Gregory Peck was wooed by the sober Jiří Bartoška, the austere Jean Gabin by the similarly taciturn Rudolf Hrušínský, etc. Dubbing directors are subconsciously also good psychologists and choose similar types of acting pairs according to their intuition. After all, it would be really comical the other way around – e.g. if Louis de Funès was dubbed by Rudolf Hrušínský, etc.
Who among us has it?
The ancient ideal of beauty of body and spirit is kalokagathia, which is represented, for example, by Michelangelo's famous statue of David. Similarly, in classical TCM, the ideal is a balanced YIN/YANG type of person. But it doesn't happen too often that we meet such a person! But the ideal is for us to approach it and try to achieve its qualities.
Physically, such a person is proportionally balanced: neither small nor large, not too muscular, but not skinny either... Just a type of smart hottie, but in a good way.
Psychologically, a person is also well-tuned (in the words of today's teenagers, "tuned" or "cool" or "in", etc.), balanced, relaxed, easy-going, calm, honest, restrained, selfless, satisfied (with himself and with what he currently has), without desires, courageous, charismatic, kind, gentle, empathetic, always in a good mood, dignified, distinguished, gallant, respectful and attentive, happy and joyful, impressive and elegant, sincere, unwavering, peaceful, moderate, without hustle and bustle, does not show any fear (of need) or joy (of owning things), knows how to adapt and get along with others; if he is respected and socially well-established, remains humble and modest, likes to give his advice, but does not want to interfere in the lives of others... And such a person cannot even be sick! Simply a perfect unity of content and form, or the ideal interplay of YANG and YIN.
The Vertical and Horizontal axes of life together create an imaginary cross, and the size of this cross is different for everyone. Some have it shorter at the top, some at the bottom, some longer on the right, some shorter on the left, some even pull the shorter end not only at the top but also at the bottom, etc. All of these models have their own advantages and disadvantages. They correspond to our innate constitution and the energy of QI and Blood acquired from food and breathing. We each carry our own "cross" through life.
The test is free, anonymous, and contains 44 questions (the more questions you fill in, the more accurate the result). The result of this test (determination of the basic constitution according to TCM together with recommended herbal mixtures and diet) will be displayed to you immediately after completing it. At the same time, you will receive a link to view this result in your email (if you do not receive it, you have entered your email address incorrectly). It is essential to distinguish:
This test helps with the basic identification of external pathogenic factors at the onset of viral infections, colds, and allergies – it simply determines whether the body has been affected by external pathogenic Heat or external pathogenic Cold. However, there are additional indicators that further refine the diagnosis and herbal treatment (they are listed in the table and the text below).
If you suffer from allergies, scroll bellow.
One of the most common, if not the most common illnesses in the world are colds and viral infections – runny nose, cough, headaches, muscle aches, sore throat, elevated temperature, fatigue… Who among us hasn't experienced these symptoms from time to time? Usually, it’s nothing serious – the illness often starts suddenly, runs its course with intensity, but typically ends well. This, however, applies when the illness is treated correctly, according to the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). For example, when the body is invaded by so-called external Cold affecting the Surface (skin and subcutaneous tissue), it is best to expel the Cold with warming herbal formulas that open the Surface and allow sweating. If, on the other hand, incorrect treatment methods are used, the illness may become persistent and prolonged, and in the end, it can develop into chronic or autonomic diseases, rheumatic or asthmatic problems, etc.—conditions that one wouldn’t initially associate with a simple cold. This happens especially in cases where external Cold, which blocks the skin and subcutaneous channels (like frozen pipes in central heating), is treated with more so-called cooling medicines—these can include wrongly chosen cooling herbal mixtures but especially chemical “cooling” medications (such as antibiotics, corticosteroids, analgesics…). In such cases, the pathogen is gradually pushed deeper into the body, and the consequences soon follow—like a ticking time bomb.
That’s why it is crucial to distinguish, even at the slightest sign of health disturbance, what type of pathogen we’re dealing with—is it external Cold or external Heat? These two categories are essential in herbal treatment! First, we must determine the correct cause of the illness: is it external Cold or external Heat? A well-chosen herbal blend then works like a correctly entered code that unlocks our “blocked phone.”
The above applies to the first 2–3 days of the illness! After this period, symptoms usually subside, their intensity lessens, and recovery is well underway. However, it is important to continue taking herbs for at least another 3 days after symptoms disappear. Otherwise, the illness may return and become harder to treat (like extinguishing the flames but leaving the embers smoldering, which can reignite or burn deeper…).
If, on the other hand, the symptoms do not improve and their intensity increases, the illness may progress to deeper layers of the body. It is necessary to respond flexibly and adequately! The most common complications include tonsillitis, sinusitis, bronchitis, or pneumonia. In such cases, stronger herbal remedies are needed, which act more deeply in the body to clear Heat and eliminate Heat toxins.

When Symptoms Persist (After 2–3 Days)
If symptoms persist even after 2–3 days—especially when chills (shivering) alternate with fever, or when digestive troubles occur, and the pathogen manifests both as Heat and Cold, appears both on the Surface and in the Interior, and there are signs of both Excess (pathogenic presence) and Deficiency (weakened body)—this is usually
a so-called “clever washerwoman” state. That is, an invasion of external Cold that directly penetrates into
a deeper layer of internal Heat in the Gallbladder meridian.
This occurs because the chills are caused by a temporary dominance of Cold, while the fever is the body’s attempt (through a rise in its internal thermostat) to expel the invading Cold. Often, these symptoms can persist for days or even weeks after the main illness has subsided, in the form of slightly elevated temperatures, fatigue, or general malaise (“something still lingers inside me”).
In such cases—both during the acute stage and prolonged recovery—only one almost miraculous herbal formula is used: Dewdrops from the Forest Spring (060). This blend is capable of restoring all these imbalances and bringing the body back to full harmony.
If, in this complicated state, cooling antibiotics or corticosteroids are administered to treat the fever, the pathogenic factor becomes even more encapsulated and sinks deeper into the body. On the other hand, if sweat-inducing medications (such as aspirin) are used to treat chills and shivering, they only increase internal Heat.
As can be seen, both approaches are essentially a Sophie’s choice and may lead to a wide variety of resulting illnesses—autoimmune, allergic, or chronic—while it all started with just a “simple cold.”
Harmful External Wind – The Main Culprit
The harmful external Wind is the most common cause of colds, viral infections, and allergies. This Wind varies not only by season (e.g., Cold Wind in winter, Hot Wind in summer, Dry Wind in autumn, and Damp Wind in spring), but also by environment—air conditioning, for instance, always introduces Cold Wind regardless of the season.
Constitution also plays a major role. The two main types are Heat Constitution and Cold Constitution. For example, Wind in winter may invade the Surface of a person with a Heat Constitution and quickly transform into Hot Wind, showing typical Heat symptoms (just like a bellows intensifying smoldering embers into flames).
This situation is quite common in practice and occurs not only in people with Excess Heat Constitution but also in those with Damp-Heat or Deficiency-Heat patterns.
Therefore, it is crucial to understand not only the patient’s constitution (using the YIN/YANG Test), but also the dynamics of the disease—observing the direction in which the pathogenic factor moves—and adjust the treatment accordingly and flexibly.
So may our health always follow the right path—and let TCM be its guiding light!
This test is intended for women who experience any period-related problems and want to solve them in a more natural way than just by using synthetic hormones, i.e. dietary adjustments and herbal products. There are 10 groups of questions in the test (70 questions in total) regarding your health and especially your period. You can select multiple answers at the same time for each question group, always based on the intensity of the problems…, (black - none, green - weak intensity, blue - medium intensity, red - strong intensity), if you do not know, it is better not to answer. You will receive the test result, which is anonymous and free, immediately - it will appear directly in the browser after you submit the test. You will find an example of such a test result HERE.
The optimal good (physiological) period usually occurs between the 26th and 32nd day and lasts for 3 to 7 days. Menstrual blood is dark red - lighter at the beginning, darker in the middle and pinker at the end of the bleeding period, and it is neither thin (watery) nor thick (sticky). The blood should flow freely, it should be thinner rather than thicker, and it should not contain any blood clots..
This test is intended for all who experience any sleep-related problems and want to deal with them in a more natural way than just by using chemical medicines, i.e. dietary and lifestyle adjustments and herbal products. There are 4 groups of questions in the test (60 questions in total) regarding your health and especially your sleep. You can select 1 answer for each question on the basis of the intensity of the problems (black - none, green - weak intensity, blue - medium intensity, red - strong intensity) You will receive the test result, which is anonymous and free, immediately - it will appear directly in the browser after you submit the test. You will find an example of such a test result HERE.
Obesity is currently a kind of “broom of humanity” and is becoming an increasing problem for many people around the world. There are also a plethora of diets and all sorts of advice, which in the end often do not bring the desired result. According to TCM, there are 12 types of obesity, and for a meaningful effect it is always necessary to determine the constitutional type of obesity and then follow it accordingly - ie to direct and “tune” your type correctly using herbal tablets and diet. This is the only way to achieve the effect. The test is free, anonymous and contains 105 questions (the more questions you fill in, the more accurate is the result).
Mental well-being is the basis of health, because it is still true, since ancient times, that healthy mind in a healthy body, and vice versa! In today's hectic and turbulent world, sometimes one needs a special skill to maintain mental balance, satisfaction or good mood - especially to maintain “common sense” or a kind of detached view of all the worries and problems that everyday life brings. Otherwise, one sometimes gets into a vicious circle full of depression, gloomy mood, inner restlessness, concern, fear, anger or rage, etc. This test can help to jump out of this circle back to harmony and “sun in the soul” - by determining the cause of your mental discomfort according to TCM (distinguishes a total of 12 constitutional types and their mental problems). The test is free, anonymous and contains 214 questions (the more questions you fill in, the more accurate is the result).
Headaches are so common today that we don't even consider them a disease - a lot of people, especially women, have it. It is also difficult to successfully treat them using Western medicine, and the blame is usually laid on the mental health, the cervical spine, the menses, the head... The domain of TCM is precisely these functional diseases (without organic cause), when e.g. only for a headache there are 16 options. This test is used to determine what kind of headache it is according to TCM, with the setting of specific herbal mixtures and diets. The test is free and anonymous and contains 238 questions (the more questions you fill in, the more accurate is the result).
The test is a basic algorithm of basic key principles in TCM for determining the health status of the organism. From the point of view of diagnostics, it is crucial to distinguish whether Heat or Cold, Excess or Deficiency predominates, or whether the pollutant is located on the Surface or in the Interior. Therapy is then determined according to the prevailing answers: Hot needs to be cooled and Cold needs to be warmed up; Drain the excess and replenish the deficiency; Clean the surface and remove blockages in Nitra and stir up the energy. In the case of combined symptoms, Harmonization comes into play - that is, something from everyone. Specific herbal mixtures are assigned to all variants of the result, from which the most suitable combination is usually chosen therapeutically.
The second part of the test further expands the diagnosis by the Five Elements (Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal), both in terms of psychological state and physical problems. The output is thus not only a recommendation of herbal mixtures for solving a specific condition (e.g. Wood in Excess).
The result of this test will be displayed to you immediately after completing it. At the same time, you will receive a link to display this result in your e-mail (if you do not receive it, you have entered your e-mail address incorrectly).
